Jesus of Nazereth was born 7-2BC/BCE to 26-36AD/CE in Nazereth/Galilee
He was concidered as the son of god and the central figure of christianity. Muslims beleived jesus as a prophet and many other religions consider him an important figure. Most scholars in the feilds of history and biblical studies agree that jesus was a galilean jew who was regarded as a teacher and a healer. It is also generally accepted that he was baptized by john the baptist, and crucified in jeruselem on the orders of roman prefect judaea pontius pilate, on the charge of sedition against the roman empire.
According to the new testament he rose on the third day after his death.
In Islam Jesus is considered as one of gods most important prophets a bringer of scripture and a worker of miracles. Jesus is also called messiah but muslims do not beleive he was divine.Islam denies the death and ressurection of jesus instead they thought that he ascended bodily to heaven.
According to luke jesus was 30 when he was baptized.Mark tells us that jesus was a carpenter.Matthew tells us he was the son of a carpenter however the gospel word is Tekton which means builder in which he could have been an artisan.
Christianity has been linked to european colonialism, some have argued that through Bartolome De Las Casas defense of the indigenous inhabitants of spains new world empire, one of the legacies of jesus is the notion of universal human rights.
